KNBR.com's Football Pool
I. ELIGIBILITY
This contest is open to all persons who are least 18 years of age, reside in one of the Nine Bay Area counties consisting of: Sonoma, Napa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, San Clara, Alameda, Contra Costa and Solano counties, except for employees of: KNBR-AM, Cumulus Radio, employees, other radio stations, contest sponsors and each of their respective agencies, representatives, and their immediate family members. The term "immediate family members" includes spouses, parents, siblings, grandparents, children, grandchildren and cohabiting significant others.
II. CONTEST ENTRY RULES
No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. Contest is open to all who are invited to enter to win by entering the contest on KNBR.com's website at www.knbr.com during the promotional period of August 31, 2009 through February 6, 2010. To participate, listeners need to register by filling out all necessary fields. Once registered, participants enter their picks during the week that corresponds to the official NFL weekly game schedule. The entry deadline each week during the contest period will be anytime before kickoff of preceding game regardless of when it is played, ie: Thursday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday games.
III. CONTEST DRAWING RULES
Each week during the regular football season and the playoffs, KNBR's football pool will award the weekly prize to one listener who has the highest score each week. Scores are determined by the highest number of correct winning picks for that weeks match ups. One point given for each correct win selected. No point is given for incorrect picks. If multiple listeners have the same high score in any given week, one winner will selected at random from those participants.
IV. PRIZES
The KNBR Football Pool weekly prize will be one of the following prizes:
• One pair of 49ers home game tickets
• Bose Sound Dock
• Palm Pilot
• TBD
Station management, in its sole discretion, will determine which weekly prize will be awarded for each particular week. The winner each week will be announced on air each Tuesday morning throughout the season during the Murph & Mac Morning Show on KNBR 680, from 5am-9am. Winners will be notified by phone and their prize will be mailed to them unless otherwise specified.
Prizes are non-transferable or exchangeable. Prizes have no cash value and may not be redeemed for cash or travel accommodations or services. Winners are responsible for any and all local, state, and federal taxes related to the prizes.
KNBR-AM is not responsible for and provides no warranties regarding the prize. It is possible that the prize/s will not be awarded.
KNBR-AM reserves the right to make rules or contest changes without notice at any time and reserves the right to change the aforementioned contest date(s) without notice. KNBR-AM, their representatives, agencies and employees shall not be responsible for any injuries, damages or any liability arising directly or indirectly from participation in the contest or the award, use or non-use of this prize. All Contestants agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges and the official contest rules.
If, after the contest has begun, changes or updates to the rules are made, the changes will be announced at approximately 7:30am on the day that the change is to take effect. In addition, an addendum outlining the changes will be available in the station lobby.
By participating in this contest, each Contestant agrees to waive any and all claims for damages for death, personal injury, loss of property or property damage that he or she may sustain as a result of his or her participation in the contest or the use or non-use of any prize and to release Cumulus Media Partners LLC, Radio Station KNBR-AM, their affiliates, all contest sponsors, and each of their respective affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability arising out of or connected in any way with his or her participation in the contest, or use or non-use of any prize, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities mentioned above.
The Station reserves the right to end the contest earlier than the date listed or to extend the length of the contest.
The Station, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or who is otherwise in violation of the rules. It further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it is determined that it is not capable of completion as planned due to tampering, technical failures or any other cause.
